4 tips for styling your wigs into an up-do

Here are some great hints and tips when styling your wigs into a wig up-do. This is a lovely little half up-do that's perfect for the summer and the heat wave we are having here in the UK at the moment.

Top tips when creating your wig up-dos are:

  1. You really do need to have a good fitting wig, so making sure your wig supplier fits yours wigs properly is essential. Something that’s a little lower in density and around 18 to 22" from the crown is perfect (this wig is 22" from the crown).

  2. Wave your wig first it allows you to tie back/up easier and gives some fabulous texture - we have used our fav @cloudninec9 The Waving wand. It's also easier to do when your wig is about ready for its weekly wash - freshly washed hair can be too silky soft and slippery to hold an up-do style properly.

  3. Take your time and remember practice makes perfect. Keep it soft not pulling tightly as this will eventually cause damage/hair loss to your wig. It's far easier to style on a tripod and mannequin head, you can tweak it once you've popped it on your own head.

  4. Add pretty silk scarves or large scrunched this not only looks great, but can hind a multitude of sins if your styling isn’t perfect.

Most of all have fun and keep cool and protected from the sun this summer, love Ness xxx 🦋🦋🦋
